Pestalozzi Children's Village Visitor Centre, Trogen

In 1946 hundreds of volunteers joined forces to build a village for war orphans in Trogen, providing the children with a home and an education. Today, the trust is an international children's charity. The Visitor Centre documents this eventful history.

The exhibition vividly recounts the story of how the village was established, its impressive development and, above all, its inhabitants – children from all around the world. Beginning with poignant drawings, letters and recordings, the exhibition moves on to present-day social issues, such as children's rights and multicultural communities.
