The Museums of the Appenzellerland are all independently operated, presenting collections with different focuses and varying exhibition programmes. Funded by the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden, the Museums Coordination Service represents the museums' common interests, provides them with an advisory and networking service, informs the public and manages projects involving all or some of the museums.
