The Museum für Lebensgeschichten (Museum of Life Stories) in Speicher was established in 2006. Located in the "Hof Speicher" old-age residential and nursing home, it is open to the general public. It brings together and presents the life stories of a very diverse range of figures from the region.

At regular intervals, the life of a contemporary or historical person is carefully catalogued and brought alive through various documents. While the stories themselves are a worthy monument to the individuals concerned, they also provide a stirring historical record of a particular period and its social environment.
